Our trip to Jersey from June, 14th to June, 22th in 2008. Saturday, June 21 Our last day on Jersey. Today we visit "Jersey Lavender", a lavender farm in St. Brelade. The blooming lavender fields offer a great motive to take a picture of and many tourists use their chance. In the production rooms, we are shown how lavender and rosemary oil are made. The products can be tested and bought there as well. People who are fond of taking pictures shouldn’t miss to go to the farm. After the farm, we drive back to our hotel. We want to go to the Rose Festival in Samarez Manor, which is far away from our hotel. The show of roses wasn’t as great as expected, yet, we enjoyed the castle’s park much more. Some owners of oldtimers present her amazing cars. After we took a walk at Havre de Pass, once more, we drive to island’s centre. By accident, we discover St. Quens Manor to which tourists normally do not have access (private, only). Luck was on our side, a public (or maybe a private) event was just over and we used the moment to take a picture of the mansion which is surrounded by high walls. We then visit Greve de Lecq, take a walk and drive back to our hotel for good. |
